Learn Together

Working with vulnerable children can be immensely rewarding. Yet it is also complex, and can be a struggle, as we strive to better provide and care for the children with whom we work.

Within the children at risk community there is an incredible wealth of resources designed to help with those pressures. Research papers, training materials, conference outputs, books, CD’s and mp3 files, websites, forums, magazines, blogs.... the list is endless.

The Viva Community site aims to harness the potential of this wide variety of materials and act as a virtual resource hub. While we cannot house an exhaustive library of data, we can act as a kind of springboard for you to begin accessing a multitude of helpful resources, sharing with one another what we know and learning from the work of others.

As you will see from the list below we have been able to carry forward existing resources in a number of vital areas, but we are actively seeking new items that will build the community. Please review, comment on, and help build the resources by submitting revised and new articles, PowerPoints etc. You will make this work - please share what you know with the community. The site will be continually developing to best serve the diverse and ever changing needs of vulnerable children and those who work with them, and we hope that you will play an active role in the building of this Viva Community.
