Networks

One of the key ways that Viva works to connect people is through networks, which involves joining projects and organisations together in groups of between 30 and 80 initiatives, enabling them to work together and share resources, ideas, and skills.

This network model is at the centre of Viva's work, and across the whole of the Christian community the idea of networking and partnership is becoming steadily more common as we realise the value of unity. So how do we make sure that the alliances we create really deliver? Networking is not just about building relationships: it is about building relationships with a shared purpose in order to achieve a shared goal.

• Viva works both with existing networks and also groups of projects that would like to form a network, helping to grow their ideas into a formalised and fully functioning collaboration.
• Viva’s portfolio of network development tools has been refined over a decade, through hundreds of collaborations dedicated to supporting vulnerable children. Drawing from this portfolio we can offer tailor-made consultancy designed to stimulate healthy growth and our dedicated regional Network Consultants can provide ongoing guidance and advice on key topics.
• Viva's wide range of contacts allows us to help connect networks that can learn from each other’s work.
• Viva also offers a range of training options, all of which have been tried and tested. We have specialist training, mentoring, and follow-up aimed at Network Co-ordination Teams, Steering Groups, and Working Groups.

Despite the complexities of network consultancy and training, Viva’s goal remains simple: to care for children and to give them a hope and a future. Strong and well-equipped networks are vital in achieving just that.
