Enable 15,000 children to be better cared for
This could provide training to 20 churches and organisations so that, on average, 15,000 children can experience better care immediately, with the potential for thousands more benefitting in the long term. Viva’s Quality Improvement System takes churches and organisations on a journey towards international standards in topics including child protection, financial accountability, project management and good governance. It enables these organisations to provide quality care for children as they put good systems in place and become more sustainable.
This is an average cost – the exact cost varies from country to country due to significant cost-of-living differences. To initially run QIS with a partner network is a three-year investment; this includes the set-up phase, the two-year programme, and then a further (up to a year) of continued implementation support and verification. £25,000 is the cost for one year - the total cost to run QIS with one cohort of 20 churches is £75,000. 43% covers in-country training costs, 21% in-country facilitation costs, and 36% covers Viva coordination and administration costs.
