What Viva does to support networks
Citywide Influence
Good Treatment Campaign
Initially developed by our partner network in Bolivia, Viva's Good Treatment Campaign is used globally to equip children to educate adults to play their part in treating children well.
World Weekend of Prayer
Each year, Viva produces resources for the World Weekend of Prayer, which is a global catalyst for prayer for, and with children – which reaches far beyond Viva's partner networks.
Advice and Learning
Viva advises networks on how to work with governments to strengthen policies and laws impacting children. This is enhanced by the shared learning Viva facilitates between networks.
Peter was able to access the educational support he needed
Anne had given up on finding the right support to help her son, Peter, with additional needs. However, hope returned when she visited a specialist assessment centre supported by Viva's partner network in Uganda, CRANE (Children at Risk Action Network). She says, "My son has learned to sit, crawl and walk. Their dedication and care has changed our lives. I am forever grateful to KCCA (Kampala City Council Authority) and CRANE for making these vital services accessible to us. They've transformed not just my son's life, but countless other children in the community."
CRANE and the Ministry of Education also partnered to develop a National Learning Needs Identification Tool and Resource Guide that helps point people to the assessment centre. As a result, 1000s of children like Peter will benefit from educational opportunities and be equipped with the tools they need for a prosperous future.
