Connecting
What Viva does to support networks
Mapping
Viva's situational mapping tool kit enables networks to better understand the needs of children in their area, find out what programmes already exist, and identify possible gaps.
Network Training
Combining written materials, online meetings, coaching support and action plans, Viva's Network Training Course covers the basics of running a network, measuring impact, and sustainability.
Peer-to-Peer Support
Viva gathers network coordinators together globally to learn from each other, support one another, and pray together. Networks provide space for leaders of member organisations to do the same.
Hope restored for eight children
Mary's eight children are now safer and more comfortable at home, can access education, and feel confident about the future. The children began attending a Viva-supported Learning Space run by a partner network, Red Viva Paraguay. Volunteers did a home visit because they were concerned that an eleven-year-old girl could not hold a pencil. They found a cramped environment that lacked many basics. "As Red Viva Paraguay, we activated our network in search of donors to obtain beds and mattresses for the children, and our search was effective."
The call to action resulted in a bed and two mattresses, while other members donated backpacks and some supplies for the girls. Seeing different churches coming to her aid, Mary was motivated to enrol her children in formal education, meaning they started attending school for the first time!
A family's life is now changed through the simple power of connection.
