Global Network Online Forum
Dear all,
Thanks to everyone who came along to last week's Global Network Online Forum. It was wonderful to meet together to celebrate our Christmas traditions, to learn from each other and pray for each other, and to have some festive fun!
Thanks to those who shared their prayer requests with the group. I am sharing them below, so that we can continue to pray for each other over the Christmas period.
- Praying for Christmas Parties in networks in India, especially 3 that are working to include children with disabilities more intentionally this year. In Hyderabad they are having 4 Christmas parties for underprivileged children and children with special needs
– Vincent is sending a letter to prayer partners to raise support for this, please pray for a good response.
- MCAN, Tanzania: Pray for the availability of financial resources and readiness of children from various denomination to meet together.
- On Friday 13th December there is/was a fundraising dinner in Peru and 6 new churches will join the network
- Give thanks that the most needy children and families with very scarce resources share food and traditional dishes during Christmas parties!
- Elisa from El Salvador has had two hip surgeries, please pray for her recovery.
- Pray for a quiet celebration of Christmas without violence in Latin America.
- In Venezuela for many children, it is very hard. Many families are struggling and the political and economic situation is difficult, with many children alone and vulnerable because their parents have moved to a different country to find work. Meanwhile, many other countries in North and South America are receiving migrant families from Venezuela, so it is affecting the whole region.
- In Bolivia, there is a very difficult financial crisis. Life is very difficult for families.
As promised, we are sharing the screenshot of everyone’s beautiful Christmas artwork! And if you would like an alternative Christmas playlist with music from around the world, here is a link to the playlist of songs that we listened to during the meeting: Christmas playlist
During the forum, we allowed a little time for you to complete the new, very short Pulse Check survey. If you did not have time to complete this at the time, please could you follow this link and complete the survey at your earliest convenience: Viva Pulse Check Survey 1
Please note that there will be no forum in January. The next forum will take place on Wednesday 12th February. We look forward to seeing you then!
Have a blessed, restful and joyful Christmas, and a happy new year!
