On 28 March 2025, Myanmar was struck by a catastrophic 7.7 magnitude earthquake, leaving behind immense devastation, heartbreak, and suffering. The earthquake’s epicenter near Mandalay, the country’s second-largest city, sent violent tremors across Sagaing, Naypyidaw, Mandalay, Bago Division, reducing entire communities to rubble. The country is in desperate need of support, resources and prayer, with people struggling physically, emotionally and spiritually due to the devastation experienced in homes and communities. 

The Full Moon Family Foundation (FMFF) leads Viva’s partner network in Myanmar, the Children’s Development Network Myanmar, and is responding to this crisis. Please consider giving towards their efforts as they seek to purchase and distribute the following to people whose homes have been destroyed:

1. Emergency Medical Materials

2. Food and Water

3. Essential Family Relief Package Supplies

Ni Sat, the director of Viva’s partner, Children’s Development Network Myanmar, says, “My family and fellow friends are safe in Christ. But much of our background ministry, colleagues and friends are facing now no places for sleep and urgent food supply and safety equipment. Still, we worry for some of our project areas and villages because we have not been able to contact them yet.”
